Akki Roti Recipe is a delicious spicy flat bread from karnataka that is made from rice flour, dill leaves and vegetables. It can be served with any gojju (gravy) or chutney of your choice.
Rice Flour 2 Cups
Onions 2 Finely Chopped
Carrot Grated 1
Green Chil 2 (FInely Chopped)
Dil Leaves 1/2 Cup (Finely Chopped) (optional)
Salt
Oil
Jeera 1 tsp
Methi Leaves (Optional)
Cabbage 1/2 cup (Optional)
Method
- Take a large bowl, add rice flour, onions, carrot, dil leaves, green chiles, salt, jeera and mix well
- Now add water little by little and make dough of it, it should be thinner than chapathi dough
- Make small balls of it
- Make three small holes in the akki roti for even cooking of the akki roti.
- Carefully invert the akki roti onto the preheated pan and peel out the cloth or the leaf.
- Cook the Akki Roti on medium heat for a few seconds. Flip the roti and drizzle a teaspoon of oil around the roti and cook it on both sides until brown spots appear.
- Once done, remove Akki Roti from heat and serve warm.

Note
If you use dil leaves do not add methi leaves
you can add choice if any vegetable like, cucumber, capsisum
