Kai Haalu Or Gasagse Haalu

 Kai Haalu Or Gasagse Haalu is a traditional dish used to make by my granny usually, we can have this Ottu Shavige, Idli or Kadubu. or you can drink as it is


Ingredients 

  1. Gasasase (Poppy Seeds) - 2 tsp 
  2. Jaggery 1 Cup
  3. Fresh Grated Coconut 1 Cup
  4. Milk 1 cup 
  5. Cardamom 3 
  6. Almonds Handful
  7. Cashew Handful
  8. Ghee 1 Tsp
Method
  1. Soak Poppy Seeds, Almonds, Cashew and Cardamon for 30 min in Hot Milk
  2. After 30 min, take everything together along with grated coconut and grind it a fine paste
  3. Now strain the mixture into a clean bowl, collect the milk from it
  4. Repeat this step for 2-3 times 
  5. Meanwhile, take a cup of Jaggery add 1/2 cup water and bring to boil
  6. now add this poppy seeds milk into jaggey 
  7. add little milk
  8. bring it to boil 
  9. add a tsp of Ghee on Top
  10. Serve hot with Ottu Shavige or Kadubu
