Ragi upttiu is one of the healthy dish from "Say Yes to Healthy" Steamed ragi flour seasoined with onions and other veggies.
Takes very less oil, gluten free and good to diabetes.
Ingredients
- Ragi flour 2 cups
- Salt
- Onion 1
- Carrot 1
- Curry leaves
- Coriander
- Hing
- Water
- Fresh coconut
- Green chili 4-5
- Urad dal 1 tsp
- Channa dal 1tsp
Method
- Take ragi flour in a large vessel or plate, sprinkle some water and mix well.
- Ragi should just get moisture no need to put more water
- Now put this ragi mixture in streamer and steam this for 15 min
- Meanwhile, take a kadai add oil, once hot, add mustard, urad dal channa dal and green chili saute well
- Now add curry leaves, onions and fry till gold brown
- Now add chopped carrots, cook then till it becomes soft
- Add salt, and add steamed ragi flour and mix well
- Now close the lid, and cook for about 10 min in low famle
- Sprinkle some grated coconut and coriander in top
- Serve ragi Uppitu hot
