Pulav is an authentic Karnataka dish, mostly know as flavored rice, made with rice and mint masala
Ingredients
For masala paste
- Green chilies 15
- Onion 1
- Ginger 1 inch
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Fennel seeds 1 tbsp
- A handful of mint leaves
Other ingredients
- Rice 2 cups
- water 3 cups
- Carrot Diced
- Beans Chopped
- Green peas
- Clove 2
- Cinnamon 2 inch
- cardamom 2
- Bay leaf 2
- Pepper 10
- ghee 2 tbsp
- Tomato 1
Method
- Take a mixer jar, add ingredients under masala list and make it to a fine paste with very less water
- Heat the cooker add Ghee once hot, add spices Bay leaf, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon saute well
- Now add onion fry them until it is translucent
- later add the chopped vegetables fry for 5 mins
- Now, add masala fry for 5 mins
- then,add rice soaked for 15 mins, fry for 2 mins in low flame
- add water for 1 cup rice 1 1/2 cup water add
- salt check the taste
- Add chopped tomato at last and mix well
- pressure cook for 2 whistle
- Once pressure comes down, add a spoon of ghee, mix well
- Serve Pulav hot with Raita or Curd
