Hotel Style Veg Pulav



Pulav is an authentic Karnataka dish, mostly know as flavored rice, made with rice and mint masala 

Ingredients 
For masala paste
  1. Green chilies 15 
  2. Onion 1  
  3. Ginger 1 inch 
  4. Garlic 2 cloves 
  5. Fennel seeds 1 tbsp 
  6. A handful of mint leaves  
Other ingredients 
  1. Rice 2 cups 
  2. water 3 cups 
  3. Carrot Diced 
  4. Beans Chopped 
  5. Green peas 
  6. Clove 2 
  7. Cinnamon 2 inch
  8. cardamom 2 
  9. Bay leaf 2
  10. Pepper 10
  11. ghee 2 tbsp
  12. Tomato 1
Method
  1. Take a mixer jar, add ingredients under masala list and make it to a fine paste with very less water 
  2. Heat the cooker add Ghee once hot, add spices Bay leaf, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon saute well
  3. Now add onion fry them until it is translucent 
  4. later add the chopped vegetables fry for 5 mins 
  5. Now, add masala fry for 5 mins  
  6. then,add rice soaked for 15 mins, fry for 2 mins in low flame 
  7. add water for 1 cup rice 1 1/2 cup water add 
  8. salt check the taste
  9. Add  chopped tomato at last and mix well 
  10. pressure cook for 2 whistle 
  11. Once pressure comes down, add a spoon of ghee, mix well
  12. Serve Pulav hot with Raita or Curd
