Orange flavoured Rasam Recipe is a twist created by adding Orange Juice to the normal Rasam. The flavour of Orange imparts a wonderful aroma and gives a refreshing feel to this Rasam Recipe. I have made a basic Bele Saaru by skipping tomato into it (Mysore Rasam) and flavoured it with Orange Juice.

- Orange Pulp 1 Cup
- Rasam Powder 2 tsp
- Salt
- Jaggery 1 tsp
- Tamarind Pulp 1 tsp
- Ghee 2 tsp
- Turmeric
- Toor Dal 1/4 cup
- Fresh Coriander
- Curry leaves
- asafoetida
- Jeera 1 tsp
Method
- Pressure Cook toor dal with ghee, turmeric and water until it is soft
- Transfer this to vessel add, rasam powder, salt, jaggery and tamarind pulp
- Adjust water and let to boil for 5 min
- aft 5 min add orange juice, check for salt
- Let it boil for 2 more min
- add ghee, curry leaves, jeera and asafoetida temper to rasam
- garnish it with fresh coriander
- Serve Orange rasam with hot rice and ghee
