Nellikayi Tokku or Gooseberry Chutney

Ingredients

Amla/nellikayi/Gooseberry 10
green chillies more 20 (adjust to your taste)
methi/fenugreek seeds 1 TBSP 
turmeric powder 1 tsp 
salt 3 TBSP 
Hing / asafetida1/4 tsp
1 tbsp oil
1/4 tsp mustard seeds

Method:
Wash and dry the gooseberry thoroughly and remove water by wiping it 
chop the nellikayi and discard the seeds.
Dry roast the methi seeds until it turns golden brown
Powder this roasted methi seeds and keep it aside.
To the dried mixer jar add all ingredients and grind it to a corse paste.
Mouthwatering hot,spicy and delicious thokku is ready.
Store it in a dry glass container. Whenever you want to eat, use a dry spoon to take thokku from the container to a separate bowl.

heat oil, once hot add mustard seeds and hing, after the mustard seeds splutter turn off the heat and add it to the thokku
Use Tokku with hot rice and Ghee
