Methi Masala Vada



Methi masala vada is a crispy channa dal fitter added with methi leaves and cabbage

Ingredients
  • Channa dal 1 cup 
  • Cabbage chopped 1/2 
  • Onions 3
  • Green chili 4
  • Red Chilli 6
  • Ginger 1 inch
  • Jeera 1tsp
  • Salt
  • Methi leaves 1 cup
  • Curry leaves 10
  • Rice Flour 2 tbsp
  • Hing
  • Grated Coconut 1/2 cup
  • Oil for deep frying
Method
  • Soak channa dal for 2 hours 
  • Later drain water, in a mixer jar add channa dal, coconut,ginger, red chili and grind it corse 
  • To this mixer add finely chopped onions, cabbage, curry leaves, methi leaves, salt, hing and mix well
  • Now add rice flour and mix well do not add water 
  • Now take lemon sized mixture, put some oil in hand, make small patties 
  • Deep fry them in golden brown or until crisp
  • Serve hot with ketchup or chuteny 
Note
Deep frying in medium heat gives you crispy vadas
