Mentya kadubu, (Akki hittina mentya kadubu)
Mentya kadubu is a basically rice or wheat or jower dumplings seasoned with fenugreek leaves and topped with some groundnit powder.
- Fenugreek leaves 1 cup
- Rice Flour 1 cup
- Oil 3 tsp
- Jeera
- Mustard
- Asfeteda
- Ground Nut 1/2 cup
- Sesame 1tsp
- Channa dal 1 tsp
- Urad Dal 1 tsp
- Green Chilis 1
- Red Chili powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric 1 tsp
- Salt
Method
- To make Menthe Kadubu (Fenugreek Leaves Rice Dumpling Recipe) by making the dumpling first.
- In a pan add 2 cups of water, 1tsp salt, and 1 tsp oil bring it to boil
- once it starts boiling add rice flour and mix the dough well
- Once it is little cool, kneed the dough well
- make small balls with it
- steam this rice balls for 15 min and keep aside
- Now take a pan dry roast groundnuts and white sesame, make a powder of it
- to the same pan pour some oil, once hot add Jeera, Mustard, Asfetoda, curry leaves and mix well
- Now add chopped methi leaves and fry them well
- add red chili powder salt and pinch of sugar and mix
- now add steamed rice dumplings and groundnut powder and mix well
- Menthe Kadubu is ready
- Serve hot with chuteny and ghee
- You can replace rice flour with jower or wheat
