Palak khichdi

Ingredients 

  1. Moong Dal 1/2 Cup
  2. Rice 1 cup (I use red rice)
  3. Ghee 3 tbsp
  4. Pepper
  5. Jeera
  6. Salt
  7. Curry leaves 
  8. Fresh Coriander 
  9. Green Chili 
  10. Milk 1 cup
  11. Ginger 
  12. Palak 1 bunch
  13. Butter 1 tsp
Method

  1. Wash rice and dal pressure cook together for 3-4 whistles 
  2. Chop Palak and wash it
  3. Put palak in boiling water for 5 with 1 tsp salt and strain water 
  4. Put this mixer jar along with 2 green chiles make a paste
  5. In a pan add ghee, once hot add jeera, whole pepper, green chiles, curry leaves, ginger palak paste and fry
  6.  Add this tempering to boiled rice mix well
  7. Now, add milk, salt and a cup of water mix well until soft
  8. Leave it in sim for 5 min
  9. At last, add butter and fresh coriander, cook in low flame for 2 min or until butter melts
  10. Serve hot with chutney or gojju
