Jam Filled Cookies

Ingredinets 

  • Atta (Whole wheat flour) - 112 grams 
  • Baking powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 plus 1/8 teaspoon
  • Unsalted butter at room temperature - 84 grams
  • Powdered sugar (powder and sift, then weigh) 60 grams
  • Strawberry Jam 2tbsp
  • Corn flour 2 tbsp
  • Vanilla - 1 teaspoon
Method



  • Sift the atta, salt, cornflour and baking powder
  • Take Butter, sugar, and vanilla and beat this until you get the creamy texture
  • Add dry ingredients to it and fold carefully until it comes together 
  • Cover it with plastic paper leave it for 20 min 
  • Make sure dough is soft enough 
  • Make two portions in the dough, take one part and start rolling it on butter paper 
  • Give shape to cookies using a cookie cutter, again do the same process for next batch
  • Cut out the center of cookies in this 
  • Meanwhile, preheat the oven for 180 deg 
  • Place cookies in a baking tray and bake them around 10-12 min 
  • Let them cool down completely 
  • Just before serving, sprinkle some icing sugar on cookies which we have cut at center 
  • Take another cookie spread some jam and place the other cookie on it 
  • After filling jam bake them in the oven for 1 min 
  • Jam Filled cookies can be stored 7-8 days in an airtight container
