Add 1 and a half cups of buttermilk into a pan and heat it on low flame.
Add a tsp of cumin seeds, green chili paste, chopped curry leaves, chopped coriander leaves, quarter tsp of hing or asafoetida and salt as per taste. Also add 2 tsp of cooking oil.
Stir well and let it boil on low flame. As soon as it stars boiling add 1 cup of rice flour and mix well.
Remove all the lumps and continue to cook on low flame until the mixture forms a dough-like consistency.
Turn off the flame and transfer the dough into a bowl.
While the dough is still warm knead it well and pinch small portions out of it.
Roll with your fingers and form kodubale.
Drop all the prepared kodubale into hot oil and deep fry on medium flame.
