Simple Moong Dal khichdi

Ingredients 


  1. Moong Dal 1/2 Cup
  2. Rice 1 cup (I use red rice)
  3. Ghee 3 tbsp
  4. Pepper
  5. Jeera
  6. Salt
  7. Curry leaves 
  8. Fresh Coriander 
  9. Green Chili 
  10. Milk 1 cup
  11. Ginger 
Method

  1. Wash rice and dal pressure cook together for 3-4 whistles 
  2. In a pan add ghee, once hot add jeera, whole pepper, green chiles, curry leaves, ginger and fry
  3.  Add this tempering to boiled rice mix well
  4. Now, add milk, salt and a cup of water mix well until soft
  5. Leave it in sim for 5 min
  6. At last, add fresh coriander and some ghee
  7. Serve hot with chutney or gojju
