North Karnataka Style Moth beans Curry|Madake kaalu Palya


Ingredients


  1. Moth beans 1 cup
  2. Oil
  3. Salt to taste 
  4. onions
  5. Tamarind Juice 1 tsp
  6. Jaggery 1/2 tsp
For Grinding
  1. Green Chiles 4
  2. Fresh Coriander 
  3. Jeera 1 tsp
  4. Curry Leaves
  5. Ginger
Method

  1. Soak Moth Beans for 8-9 hours 
  2. Pressure cook for 3 whistles
  3. Grind all the ingredients make a paste
  4. Take oil in a pan, once hot put jeera, onions fry them until brown.
  5. Now add boiled beans and fry them 
  6. Add tamarind Juice, jaggery and masala paste, and mix it
  7. Let it boil for 5 min 
  8. Serve Gravy with Jolad rotti or chapathi
