Ingredients
Kadle bele/ Channadal 1 tble spn
Uddina bele/ Urad Dal2 tble spn
Pepper : 2 tsp
Jeera : 1 tsp
1-2 red chilli (I use badygi)
Cinnamon / Chakke. 1 inch
Cloves / Lavanga. ... 6
Coriander seeds : 2 spoons
Dry roast all the above ingredients one by one in low flame
Let it cool
Make it fine powder
And store in air tight container
To make kootu
Cook toor dal and all the vegetables of your choice ( I added Beans, carrot, groundnuts, Board Beans) in pressure cooker
In a wet grinder add dry or Descated coconut add 2-3 tablespoon of kootu pudi and grind it to smooth paste
Added grounded pasted to cooked vegetables and dal, add salt bring it to boil
At the end add ghee in pan, once it's hot add mustard, jeera, ing, red chilles and Curry leaves add this temper to kootu
Serve kootu with hot rice and balaka ☺
