Turmeric is a spice that comes from the turmeric plant. It is commonly used in Asian food. You probably know turmeric as the main spice in curry. It has a warm, bitter taste and is frequently used to flavor or color curry powders, mustards, butter, and cheeses.
Fresh Turmeric – 2 pieces
Ingredients:
Coconut – ½ cup
Coriander Seeds – 1 table sp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
White sesame seed – ½ tsp
Red chili – 3
Tamarind – 1 tsp
Salt
Jaggery – 2 table sp
Cooking oil – 2 tablespoons
Method :
- Clean the turmeric rhizome, Chop Finely and keep it ready.
- Fry coriander seeds, urad dal, red chili and sesame seed in little oil. Grind this with coconut, into a smooth paste.
- In Tawa Put little oi;l, add sesame, jeera, urad dal, curry leaves, chopped turmeric and fry well
- Now, add grounded paste add tamarind water, salt, jaggery, and cook.
